Yujin Gakuen

Our second assembly of the day on January 27th, 2017 was at Yujin Gakuen Elementary. They share a campus with Corridor Elementary so we were able to do both assemblies in the same location. This Japanese Immersion School was the first in the country when it began in 1988. Many have opened since, using this school as a model.

They packed the students in and we again had a fun and enthusiastic time, leaving students with a challenge they repeated in unison, "Never Give Up!".  どうもありがとうDomo arigato (thank you very much) for welcoming us to your school!

Just around the Corridor Elementary

We were enthusiastically welcomed to Corridor Elementary School in Eugene Oregon for a UniShow assembly on 27 January 2017.  Students could not keep quiet, screaming and cheering with excitement while Dustin performed on different unicycles.  The message of never giving up seemed to sink in as they quieted down to listen to the message.  A teacher overheard one student say during the presentation, "This is the best day of my life!"

Students love to meet Dustin after the show.

Danebo Elementary UniShow Assembly

The students were so responsive during the UniShow assembly at Danebo Elementary in Eugene Oregon on January 13th.  One of their school virtues is "Perseverance" so Dustin's message of "Never Give Up" tied in perfectly.  He had the students repeat the phrase "Never Give Up!" in unison a few times to help them remember that if they press on through life's challenges and use their gifts and talents for others they will make an impact on the world.

School Assemblies Continue

Our most recent school assembly in Eugene Oregon was at McCornack Elementary. The students from the resident unicycle club were announced and rode briefly before they introduced Dustin and the UniShow.
The students were very responsive and enthusiastic throughout the assembly and we received lots of great feedback from teachers following the presentation. One teacher had this to say, "inspiring- engaging- Dustin's personality really made it successful- the pacing of his words, content of his message, his lovely expressions and arm movements made it enticing- he knows how to captivate the audience- great music accompanied his performance- there wasn't a person in the gym that was bored or wanted the performance to be over..... timeless and refreshing performance by a believable person who genuinely enjoyed what he was doing- extremely inspiring to kids and adults- would love to have him back again..." Dustin also received a record number of hugs following his performance from very awe inspired students.
